Penang’s Investment Dwindle As Investors Do Not Trust DAP

Penang was once one of the highest invested state particularly investment in the industry sector.

Sadly, after five years being under DAP’s ruling, the numbers of investors gradually dwindle.

In the year 2010, the investment in Penang recorded RM 12.24 billion and in 2011 it falls down to RM 9.11 billion. Finally in the year 2012 the numbers of investment reduced to a mere 2.47 billion, a 73% reduction was recorded. Instead being at the helm of the investment ranks, Penang scored 6th place in the overall state investment in Malaysia.

Syed Akhbar Must Resign As The President Of Bloghouse Malaysia

Maybe many of us in the ‘blogging’ world did not notice the existence of an entity that is given the responsibility to take care the needs of bloggers in this country. It does not matter whether it is a political blog or blogs about cooking, as long as it is a blog, they are eligible to be protected and nurtured by that particular entity.

The entity that we are describing is BlogHouse, an entity that is patron by former Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohammad.

BlogHouse in its early days were active in organizing activity and seminar for bloggers in Malaysia. This includes gathering bloggers from all ASEAN countries, but now after the leadership of the entity was changed to the curren President, Syed Akhbar Ali, BlogHouse did not functioned as it is expected.

Unity Government: The Value of DAP and PAS in the eyes of Anwar Ibrahim

Anwar’s attempt to attract attention through his “unity government” fairy tales is facing bored reaction from the people of Malaysia. Anwar’s tall tales are too farfetched and at times people are annoyed at it antics. Maybe Jusuf Kalla was right, Anwar is crazy.

Anwar is attempting to confuse and disorient UMNO members in order to destroy the reputation of Datuk Seri Najib Razak. It was said that Najib wants to cooperate with Anwar Ibrahim because of his position now are getting weaker. Anwar seems to show that he is in a better position than Najib Razak.

The question is what is the logical explanation that Anwar Ibrahim votes were much more less than the 12th General Election thinks that he is better than Najib? Anwar did not have the support of more than 10,000 people in the Black505, feels that he is much more powerful than Najib Razak?

Can Zairil Win The DAP’s CEC Election?

Zairil Khir Johari won because of a recount in the recent CEC election that was held in January and it is considered as a “miracle” by the party former leader, Tunku Aziz. Zairil at first only has 305 votes, but after the recount was made, his name was announced as a winner as he miraculously got 803 votes. The results put him in the 20th seat where he can be appointed as the central committee members of the party.

The recount was made after the party was stated that they have been wrongly calculated in the early election 2 weeks before.

The rakyat sees DAP’s excuse to recount the votes as a way to cover up the racist characteristic of the party when there are no Malay representative was elected even though there are a few Malays in the party who had been in the DAP for so long. DAP are willing to manipulate their own party votes just so that Zairil can secure a post in the CEC.

The action however, shows that the DAP is full of trick and lies, and it also proves that the DAP is a genuine racist party. This is because, Zairil who has been promoted as a representative of the Malay race is actually 100% Chinese, and he relies on his step father’s name Tan Sri Khir Johari name to proves that he is indeed a Malay.

Malaysians were shocked to see how chronic is DAP’s racial hatred as they do not want to appoint a Malay to the post, and they are ever so willing to appoint a Chinese to represent the Malay community.

DAP racist character is now being test once more when the ROS is ordering the party to held another election after their past election has elements that proves they are not fair and manipulate their votes that is seen clearly in the last election.

Zairil’s position now is being watched by a lot of people. Malaysians are closely monitoring the DAP to ensure that they are truly transparent, and at the same time looking for signs of racial discrimination. In the next CEC election, will Zairil be oust out of the CEC or his position will be stronger?

It is hard for the rakyat to be confident with the new DAP party election will be done in a transparent and just manner. This is because the DAP has never taken any action or admitting that they manipulate the votes that has resulted in the order of the ROS to held another election.

The fact of the matter remains, they have to be responsible as they were the one who mede the 753 representative to be excluded from their right to vote and they have to come clean to the public for they were the ones who pulled of a badly planed election fraud. It is possible that this time, all of the trick will be done once again.

Thus, what is the guarantee from the DAP that they will not manipulate their votes again to safe Zairil and to restore their credibility in the eyes of the people of Malaysia?

Five Shot Dead In Penang

GEORGE TOWN:  Fve men were shot dead during a police raid at an apartment in Sungai Nibong here at dawn today.

All five were ethnic Indians.
In the incident which happened at about 4.30am, police shot dead the five in the unit at the 11th floor of an apartment, located near the Pesta Site.
The five were said to be involved in several fatal shootings that took place across the country. They were Gobinath Jayasooryam, 31, Ramesh Raganathan, 27, Suresh Murugasen, 25, Vinuvt Anbalagan, 23, and Gobinath Myavanam, 21.
The Gobinaths were from Perai and Butterworth respectively, while the rest were from the island.
Police sources said records showed that Gobinath, Ramesh and Suresh have past criminal records.
Speaking at a press conference late afternoon in state police headquarters here, Inspector-General of Police Khalid Abu Bakar said the five were members of a notorious secret society.
But he did not name the secret society.
He alleged that they were criminal suspects wanted for 10 murder and two attempted murder cases that took place across the country since last year – seven killings and two attempted killings in Penang, two more in Kedah and one in Negeri Sembilan.
He said that one of the killed suspects was the mastermind behind the murder and attempted murder cases.
He said police had recovered three guns – a 38s revolver, Walther PPK and a Noricho. and several cellular phones, including old black and white mobiles sets, from the shooting scene.
According to Khalid, the fatal shooting today had “solved all these cases.”

“We have been monitoring these people for some time,” he said.
The firearms have been sent for ballistic test.
Killed in crossfire

When asked on how could police possibly link these cases with the killed suspects, IGP Khalid said current modern ballistic test technologies can help the police.

He said that the shooting happened when the police laid an ambush on the five after being tipped off that they were using the unit as their hideout.
When the police knocked on the door and called on the occupants to open the door, he claimed shots were fired at them.
“The police returned fire and the five were killed in the crossfire.
“No policeman was injured in the shootout,” he told the packed media room.
Also present were CID director Commissioner Abdul Hadi Ho Abdullah and state CPO Deputy Commissioner Abdul Rahim Hanafi.
Police dragnet

Later Khalid showed a bullet-proof shield used by the police. The shield showed five holes allegedly punctuated by stray bullets fired by the killed men.

The bodies were taken to the Penang hospital mortuary for post mortem. Abdul Rahim said that the bodies would be returned to the families once the post mortem had been completed.
Khalid confirmed the shooting today was part of police Ops Cantas (Cut-Off) that began last Saturday to combat rising crimes, especially major crimes, in the country.
Armed with Prevention of Crime Act (PCA) 1959, the police had already picked up 200 people across the country, some with criminal records, for crime screening.
Under PCA, police can detain these suspects for 72 days, after which they must be produced in court for further action, or be freed.
Khalid said police had been combing suspected criminal hideouts, entertainment outlets and restaurants to nab crime suspects.
He said he had informed the Attorney-General Chambers to classify offences under the CPA as “serious crimes” and to charge offenders with charges of heavy punishments.
“We will continue with out Ops Cantas to tackle crimes and criminal in the country,” he said.
Why weren’t they arrested?
In immediate response, Deputy Minister in Prime Minister’s Department and Hindraf national chairman P Waythamoorthy expressed reservation over the police fatal shooting.

He said the police should have given priority to catching the suspects rather than resorting to a brutal  “shoot-to-kill” approach.
He said the people no longer believed the standard answers given by police that they only retaliated fire-to-fire after being shot at.
He said lay public had emphasised that the police were given gun to protect the people in accordance to the law, not to be carefree trigger happy.
“If true, the shot persons were crime suspects, the police should detain and charge them.
“That’s rule of law based on natural justice and universal concept of human rights. The most important rights of all is right to live.
“No one has the right to take away another’s life,” the Hindraf supremo told FMT.

Najib: MAS Won’t Be Privatised

PUTRAJAYA: National carrier Malaysia Airlines (MAS) will not be privatised due to the ongoing recovery plans which are showing results, Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak said today.
Najib who was at the Malaysian Treasury’s (Finance Ministry) Hari Raya celebration said that results cannot be expected overnight.
“We will continuously monitor MAS’ journey. Right now, the most important thing is the trend of losses which has been reduced.
“In time, MAS will achieve improvements,” he said.
Yesterday, former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad said that MAS should be privatised to increase company profits.
Mahathir said that as long as MAS remained a GLC (government-linked company), it would be difficult for the conglomerate to achieve high-profit status.
“This is the difference between conventional business by parties who work for profit without interest in the company’s profit-making.
“Privatising MAS would increase the company’s profits,” Mahathir said.
No deadline set
Najib added that as a Khazanah listed company, all dealings in MAS go according to that of a commercial body.
Elaborating on the monitoring efforts, Najib said that efforts will be done to ensure that the national carrier continuous to improve based on the recovery plan.
“Several steps will be taken to improve MAS’ standing,” he said.
He also expressed hope for MAS to gain profit in the near future as parallel with the improving trend of losses.
Najib however admitted that no deadline has been set in view of MAS’ full recovery.
