Syed Akhbar Must Resign As The President Of Bloghouse Malaysia

Maybe many of us in the ‘blogging’ world did not notice the existence of an entity that is given the responsibility to take care the needs of bloggers in this country. It does not matter whether it is a political blog or blogs about cooking, as long as it is a blog, they are eligible to be protected and nurtured by that particular entity.

The entity that we are describing is BlogHouse, an entity that is patron by former Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohammad.

BlogHouse in its early days were active in organizing activity and seminar for bloggers in Malaysia. This includes gathering bloggers from all ASEAN countries, but now after the leadership of the entity was changed to the curren President, Syed Akhbar Ali, BlogHouse did not functioned as it is expected.

There are no seminar, no activity, to take care the needs of Malaysian bloggers that was once the main reason why BlogHouse was created. Their last blog update was in Julai 2011.

If they are lazy to update their own blog, do not be surprised if there are bloggers who are in need of help, the President of BlogHouse is not there to help them.

The statue of BlogHouse is in a conundrum because of their internal fighting and political turmoil inside their own organization.

After it had been all said and done, blogger were the one who suffered from their inefficiency to organize their own “house”.

Outside of the blogosphere Syed Akhbar is promoting himself as a know it all and criticise anything that he feels does not meet his expectations.

He also critics everyone, including Prime Minister’s advisors as non-functioning, as he himself who was appointed as one of the advisory panel for the Malaysia Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to represent bloggers, failed to change the negative perception of the commission up till today.

It is illogical for a prominent group of bloggers like BlogHouse cannot find any financial support for their projects, if they have the money why not spend it for the benefit of other bloggers.
We do not want to assume anything, but if Syed Akhbar did not function as it supposed to be, it is better for him to resign from its post and would give the BlogHouse to another party that can get the job done. Dont go critising other people if you yourself are not efficient enough to handle your own team.

Shame on you, Syed Akhbar!!
